This week I've decided to pay tribute to a good chunk of the essential rock n roll groups of the 60s and early 70s from Detroit. Detroit is famous for it's soul, r&b and blues music, but Detroit also had an amazing rock scene in the late 60s and early 70s, spawning some of the best hard rock, garage and psychedelic bands of the time.
